New York Nokia Corporate Office Project Timeless Timber Inc. / Kaswell Co. has just completed the installation of 5,000 sq ft of Red Birch End Grain Block flooring for a new Nokia Corporation office complex in White Plains, New York. Timeless Timber provided the End Grain Block flooring to Kaswell & Co., Inc. Kaswell & Co. provided their industry leading End Grain Block flooring installation expertise. This unique property was state-of-the-art architecturally designed with multiple earth tone elements, including multiple cascading two story wooden pillars, various stone flooring elements mixed with Timeless Timber end grain in the entire first floor hall ways, meeting rooms floor trim, main conference area and various open meeting and sitting areas. While the outside of the building has a modern all glass exterior, the inside design provides workers with a working environment that has a warm, earthy feel based on earth tone colors, open spaces incorporating wood, stone and light and Timeless Timber’s red birch end grain flooring with unique color and character that ties the main floors earth tone elements all together.
Wood end grain block flooring as been used for centuries as a durable long lasting flooring system for manufacturing factory floors where standing comfort and sound deadening were a necessity. These same characteristics that have played out so well for factories are now being used in modern buildings such as the Nokia Corporation.
